The most exciting thing about having Kate around is enjoying all her firsts. First steps, first word, etc. We definitely didn’t take the time to enjoy the other kids as much. They had many firsts but we often rushed them on to the next thing. With Kate we are taking our time and enjoying each separate first. Here is a picture of her first pony tails. I was so excited that her hair has finally grown long enough to do this! They didn’t stay in long, and I think I had to redo them about six times that day, but I just couldn’t resist. Not to mention I had to follow her around for about 30 minutes trying to get the perfect photo. It would be a great first for her to cooperate when I have the camera out.

This just proves how spoiled I am!
I escaped out on to the driveway just after it rained. Mom was busy and didn’t stop me from splashing in the puddles. I got soaked as I ran and splashed from puddle to puddle. I am so lucky! All the other kids would have gotten in big trouble and never allowed to get away with getting all wet in their nice new clothes (just after my bath too). Mom just laughed and took pictures of me (or tried to anyway, I refused to look at the camera). I was really mad when Mom dragged me inside to change my clothes and take a nap. I would have played in the water for a while if she would have left me alone.
