Kate decided yesterday that she could climb out of the crib on her own. This meant that it was time to turn the crib into a bed. We were worried that she would not stay in bed. She’s a pretty free little spirit. Well, we had to tell her to stay in two or three times, but she stayed. We were pleasantly surprised.
She was funny in the bed – as you can see, she snuggled up against the one end of the bed, and even kept the toys in the bed too. Normally she doesn’t like anything in bed with her other than her blankie and quilt. A funny thing she did was to climb out and put a pillow on the floor under the bed in case she fell out. She is not too far off the floor, but she was being extra careful. Better than Mason I guess, who used to fall out all the time.
